Get Qualified

There are a number of ways that you can learn more about using technology in higher education. Beyond the range of workshops delivered by our team, you might also consider going beyond QMUL and attending short courses or if you are really enjoying the area and want a more theoretical background to complement the practical…why not consider one of the growing numbers of Masters level qualifications?

CMALT: Certified Membership of the Association for Learning Technology

CMALT is a peer-based professional accreditation scheme developed by ALT to enable people whose work involves learning technology to:

  • have their experience and capabilities certified by peers;
  • demonstrate that they are taking a committed and serious approach to their professional development.

This short video gives a brief introduction to and overview of CMALT

CMALT holders or Certified Members of ALT are learning technology practitioners, teachers and researchers from across the educational and commercial sectors. Have a look at the CMALT Prospectus [PDF] for an introduction to the scheme at a glance.

Several members of the team have a CMALT qualification and can help if you’re interested in finding out more or if you’d like advice on putting together a CMALT portfolio.
