Summary: The E-learning Video competition was open to students at Queen Mary and ran over Semester A 2015/16. The goal of the competition was to produce engaging videos aimed at fellow students about various features on QMplus to aid them through the stressful and daunting induction period. We allowed students to choose from 5 categories for their videos. To see more about what the competition entailed click here. We received a few entries and some interest from students and chose a winner after Christmas break. We would would like to thank all participants for their effort and hard work.

Winning Entry: How to submit a Turnitin Assignment

He has been awarded a £200 Amazon Voucher and has chosen to purchase a new digital camera (see below), which we hope will enable him to further develop his creative side. He has already started using his camera to create some new videos. Here is what Michael said:

“Taking part in the e-learning video competition drove me to go further with a hobby I really enjoy, and opened up opportunities for me to develop my skills and practice creating cool videos. It also motivated me to press gang my friends into helping out too, which was a fun experience to share. Winning was great too – I was able to use the prize to buy more gear for making more videos!”
